Holiday Schedule
2026-2027
The University recognizes the following holidays for which staff receive time off with pay:
Labor Day 鈥� Monday, September 7
Thanksgiving Break 鈥� Wednesday, November 25 - Friday, November 27
Winter Break 鈥� Monday, December 21 - Friday, January 1 (Full two weeks*)
MLK Day** 鈥� Monday, January 18
Memorial Day 鈥� Monday, May 31
Juneteenth 鈥� Saturday, June 19 (observed Friday, June 18)
Independence Day 鈥� Sunday, July 4 (observed Monday, July 5)
*With this extended break, University operations are expected to continue, which may
require some employees to work certain times over break.
The generous amount of time off around the Winter Break is offered in recognition of
the changes in vacation accrual time that were implemented this year. The same benefit
is not necessarily guaranteed for future years.
**Employees in some areas will need to work on MLK Day, but supervisors will work with those affected on a reasonable alternative.
